Before the shoot

How to prepare your property

A tidy, bright home photographs beautifully. Here’s what helps most — do what you can and we’ll handle the rest.

Outside

  • Cars, boats, trailers and bikes off the driveway and away from the street front
  • Bins out of sight; hoses, toys and tools packed away
  • Lawns mowed, edges trimmed, leaves and cobwebs cleared from entries
  • Pool cover off, water clear, pool toys away
  • Outdoor furniture set up and cushions on; BBQ cover off
  • Garage door closed; house numbers and doorways clear

Inside — every room

  • All lights on, including lamps and rangehood; replace blown globes
  • Blinds and curtains fully open
  • Ceiling fans and TVs off
  • Benches and tabletops cleared; dishes away, tea towels off the oven
  • Floors clear — shoes, mats, pet beds and bowls, cords and cables tucked away
  • Beds made, cushions straightened, wardrobes and doors closed
  • Personal photos, calendars and fridge magnets down (optional, but it photographs cleaner)
  • Bins emptied; dog and cat items out of sight

Bathrooms

  • Toilet lids down, seats clean
  • Soap bottles, toothbrushes, razors and towels off the vanity and rails (one neat folded towel is fine)
  • Bath mats, toilet brushes and bins out of sight
  • Shower screens wiped, no bottles on the shower floor

Drone add-on

Only if drone photos are part of your booking.

  • Move vehicles well clear of the driveway and front boundary
  • Bins, trampolines and clutter out of the backyard
  • Let neighbours know if you can — we'll be quick and stay over your property

On the day

  • We usually need 45–90 minutes; you don't need to be home, just arrange access
  • Pets secured or out; sprinklers and fans off
  • If something can't be moved, don't worry — we'll work around it

Don’t stress about perfection — we’ll handle the rest.
